War Without Honour (1966) By Gerald L. Stone

Gerry Stone spent three months in Vietnam as a special correspondent for The Australian and the Daily Mirror coming away from the battle questioning how truthful and informed were the government's public statements about the Vietnam war and the extent to which Australians were informed of events. The frontispiece is a photo of a GI leading two blindfolded, hands-bound 'enemy suspects' - a very small boy and a frail old man, his grandfather.- a pointer to the title of his book. It's is a gripping account of the action and the politics he witnessed for those three months in a troubled South Vietnam
