The Boilerplate War (1981) By John Foley
 
Details the birth of the AFV from its origins as a farm tractor for the heavy soils of east Anglia. Has all the appearance of a conventional historical work with an introduction by the famous Sir John Hackett of Arnhem fame. But like a Ancient Greek Historian, Foley puts dialogue into the mouths of his protagonists. Still this is narrative that needs to be told and makes for good reading. Quite a rare item.
