Written by General Alexander Cavalie Mercer, a British artillery officer who rose to the rank of General. He is remembered as the commander of the G Troop Royal Horse Artillery at the front lines of the fighting during the Battle of Waterloo.

 

With an introduction by Sir John Fortescue, a British military historian.
