The indicia originally listed as G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes but was changed to Snake Eyes at issue #8. After issue #12 this volume continues as Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow.
 
Published in 2015, G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes, Agent of Cobra was the third Snake Eyes-titled series published by IDW (the first one being set in the 2009 film continuity) and was written by Mike Costa. The series follows Snake Eyes—missing and presumed dead for five years—operating for the interests of Cobra.
 
It would cease its run after five issues. It was the final Snake Eyes-titled series of the original IDW comics continuity, though IDW would publish a five-issue series, penned and drawn by Rob Liefeld and titled Snake Eyes: Deadgame, in 2020 as part of the second IDW comics continuity.
