Gimlet Goes Again (1949) By Captain W.E. Johns
 
Gimlet Goes Again, by W. E. Johns was published in November 1944 by University of London Press. It was the second Gimlet book and carried the subtitle "King of the Commandos in another adventure with Fighting France and the Grey Fleas of the North."
 
The events in the book take place in France during the middle part of the Second World War not long after the events in King of the Commandos. Textual evidence suggests mid to late 1943.
Although French publisher Aredit adapted most of the Gimlet stories into small format comic form for their King comic series, Gimlet Goes Again was never adapted. The reason for this is unknown.
