An extensively researched and unique series detailing the Foreign legions that often fought alongside German nationals during World War 2. Many men and women mainly from occupied countries volunteered or were coerced to join ranks with the Germans, all of whom had distinctly designed uniforms and insignia to denote their country of origin. For example over 80 British personnel joined the British Freikorp which featured 3 lions in its insignia and some fought against the advancing Russians who themselves, particularly the Cossacks also had its own German supporting units and individual insignia. These 4 books with abundant photographs and drawings, many in colour detail the various countries represented.
