Das Blatt der Hausfrau #45 (1940)

The Illustrierte Blatt was a national, illustrated newspaper from Frankfurt am Main. It was published weekly from 1913 to September 15, 1942, by the Frankfurter Societäts-Druckerei publishing house. The subtitle was: The young magazine for home and family, comfortable joy, for leisure, youth, and entertaining knowledge.

From 1913, Max Geisenheyner, editor of the Frankfurter Zeitung, was in charge of the weekly newspaper. In 1929, he reported on the world voyage of the airship Graf Zeppelin. In 1937, Wilhelm Hollbach was the editor-in-chief. Herbert Kranz also worked at the Illustrierte Blatt. The newspaper ceased publication in 1942 due to a shortage of raw materials.

From 1950 to 1960, the Frankfurter Illustrierte was published: the illustrated paper (sometimes also the Neue Frankfurter Illustrierte ). On 1 January 1963, the magazine was merged with the Bunte Illustrierte, which was called Bunte Münchner Frankfurter Illustrierte until 1972. Among the illustrators working for the magazine was Cefischer, who drew the comic character Oskar for ten years.
